Plans could be further developed during a Second Conference of States Parties and Signatories to Treaties that Establish Nuclear Weapon Free Zones, to be held in advance of the May 2010 NPT Review Conference.   This year can be historic for progress on disarmament January 20,2010 UN Secretary-Genera Ban Ki-moon said 2010 will be a historic year for progress on disarmament and non-proliferation goals, vowing to press ahead with efforts to rid the world of WMDs.
